TO DO IN MARRAKECH

Morocco is known as “The Kingdom of Artisans” and therefore we created these workshops to do in Marrakech. From Moroccan Tiles, Tadelakt, Plaster Work, Cooking,​ and other educational and fun activities await​​ you when visiting ” Peppermint Escape “.

While the artisans of Marrakech master metalwork, blacksmithing, carving art, zellij tilework, leatherwork​,​ and Maroquinerie. The local Berbers at Peppermint Valley excel at ​making pottery and ceramics, rugs and weaving, extracting essential oils including peppermint and, much more…

Our classes will take you to the world of learning how to make your own Moroccan Tile or Tadelakt, piece of carved wood or plaster, learn how to cook a delicious Moroccan meal,​ or even more​ to practice Darija and Berber languages. In one of our cultural houses: Peppermint Escape-The Medina or ​Nature, we introduce you the​Moroccan artisanal art and local gastronomy. Always in a friendly atmosphere!

Previous Experiences

El mehdi was right on time to pick us up at the meeting point. We had delayed the ride for one day because oder a bad weather forecast … our host was very flexible and this was no problem at all. We arrived at a large area with palms where we met our camel handler. Apart from the camels we rode, two baby camels 1 and 2 months old accompanied us for the trip. Afterwards we sat down on a rug, enjoyed the sunset and drank some maroccan tea and had a relaxed talk. All in all it was a very nice experience.Ju

This experience was one of the highlights of our trip! We met with Maria and Kebira, and went to a local market to pick out all the fresh ingredients we were going to need to make the delicious meal. Then we headed to a beautiful riad were we proceeded to cook the couscous plate under the direction of the super knowledgable Kebira. Our host Maria is from Switzerland but has been living in Marrakech for almost a decade. I could have spent the whole day just listening to her stories and adventures in Morocco. She was super friendly and very interesting. After the meal was done, we headed to the terrace, which had the most amazing views of the Marrakeshi rooftops and we sat down for the delicious meal. I recommend this experience to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the Morrocan culture, and enjoys good food and company.
